The offer would be available only to its prepaid customers who can also call any other mobile for Rs.0.49 per minute and fixed line for Rs.0.99, while STD charges will be Rs.2.49.

TTSL, which employs CDMA technology, has a customer base of about 11.9 million mobile customers, 80 percent of which are prepaid.

"This is the most aggressive plan, more aggressive than any launched by our competitors," Naresh Malhan, president (consumer business), TTSL, told reporters here Thursday referring to some of the recent tariff plans launched by rival Reliance Communications.

TTSL, part of the $22 billion Tata Group, also launched a range of low-cost handsets by Huawei, Haier and Kyocera Topaz, with its regular tariff package, at Rs.1,499, Rs.1,799 and Rs.1,999 respectively.

"With the launch of this calling card, priced at Rs.325, we are actually filling a void in the market," Malhan said indicating that the leading GSM players would also now be launching similar schemes.
