Puerto La Cruz (Venezuela) : Real Madrid striker Robinho has said that coach Fabio Capello's exit from the Spanish giant despite having recently won La Liga was very much expected.
"It is normal, these things happen in football," Robinho said before training with Brazil in the quest for the Copa America here Friday.
The striker did not express regret about Capello's exit even though he was under contract with Real Madrid for two more years. However, Robinho made clear that he had no problem with the Italian coach.
"I had no personal problems with Capello. But this is a decision of the Real Madrid leadership and all players have to respect it," he said.
Real Madrid won La Liga earlier this month after three years without a title, but the club still sacked Capello Thursday. German Bernd Schuster is likely to take over as the coach of the star-studded squad.
