Subject: Misuse of powers by three senior IPS Officials of Gujarat and Rajasthan Cadre (Anti-Terrorist Squad) in fake encounter of Soharrubudin Sheikh and dissappreance of Kausar Bi in 2005 – reg
I, Shri Shamshad Hussain, a citizen of India by birth and by profession working for Government of India in Department of Space writing to you with great distress for your kind perusal and action in the subject matter mentioned above.
On November 26, 2005 Soharrubudin Sheikh was allegedly killed in a gun battle during a joint operation by Gujarat's Anti-Terrorist Squad and Rajasthan Police . Former director of the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), D G Vanjara; SP ATS, Rajkumar Pandyan and director of the Rajasthan ATS, M N Dinesh Kumar were arrested after the Gujarat government admitted in the Supreme Court that the encounter was fake.
As a reader of daily newspaper I have followed the news and today I came to know Kauser Bi (wife of Sheikh) who was present during the encounter may have been alleged raped in a bungalow owned by a BJP corporator. Apparently, Kauserbi was poisoned and her corpse was later burnt so as to leave no sign of crime.
Supreme Court order on the petition is likely to pass on Thursday afternoon, it was reschedule due to non-availability of Justices Chatterjee and P K Balasubramanyan. I do believe Supreme court will entrust it to CBI instead allowing the probe to be continued by the state police.
Dear Sir, It’s a matter of shame that we, as citizens, and you as the chief executive of the country and the heads of State Governments across the country are unable to stop the misuse of power in the country. Its demoralising and dishearting that the involvement of senior officials who are meant to safeguard the citizen of the state are themselves the culprits of this horrific and shameful incident.
I, in my own capacity put up my sincere request to you and hope for your kind consideration in your capacity as the Prime Minister of India. The following action is the need of time.
1)The police custody of three IPS official should be extended for another 10 days atleast.
2)A through CBI probe in the matter is requested so as to get a complete picture of this shocking incident and disclose those names which are still hidden.
3)VHP workers who are shouting slogans in favour of D G Vanzara should be arrested in no time.
4)Family of Soharrubudin Sheikh should be given additional safety and compensation.
5) Remains of the burnt body of Kauser Bi should be handed over to her family.
