 Aligarh: The Entrance Test to MBBS/BDS of Aligarh Muslim Univeristy went off peacefully today, without any incident. The test was conducted at 44 different Centres in the Campus, and more than 24000 candidates from all over the country appeared. The University authorities, assisted by the District administration, had made elaborate arrangements for the peaceful holding of the entrance examination.
 AMU Vice Chancellor, Prof. M. Saleemuddin, the Controller of the Examinations & Admission, Prof. Akhtar Haseeb, the University Registrar, Prof. Javed Musarrat, and the Finance Officer, Mr. S A H Kazmi visited the Test Centres to review the arrangements. NSS Volunteers of AMU organized an assistance camp at the Railway Station to guide the candidates and their parents, to their respective Centers, and places of accommodation. The Univeristy had provided accommodation facilities to the candidates, and their family members accompanying them. The AMU Students' Union and several other NGO's also organized help camps in the University Campus. Security arrangements were made by the AMU Proctor Office outside the test Centres and the district administration provided its active cooperation during the test. The UP Roadways Corporation also provided special bus services to the candidates and their parents coming from different places.
