JKLF’s ‘Safar-e-Azadi’ from Monday

Srinagar: Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) is bracing up to launch a statewide rally 'Safar-e-Azadi' (journey for independence)'' from Anantnag district from May 6.

 

The rally would be led by JKLF Chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik.

 

According to JKLF spokesperson, Yasin Malik along with front members would start the journey from Daksum and Kokarnag areas of south Kashmir on Sunday and travel across the Kashmir valley.

 

The 'journey' is part of the JKLF's campaign – ''Peace in South Asia: Kashmir first and Kashmiri first'', the spokes man said adding that it is a part of the efforts of the front to press the demand for inclusion of the people of the state in the ongoing peace and reconciliation process.

 

Yasin Malik and his colleagues would undertake the journey in a specially-designed vehicle.
