Bhubaneswar : Three people were nabbed by Polosara police in Orissa's Ganjam district in connection with "suspicious" death of a youth on Friday.

Police said two people – Bijaya Behera and Subash Behera – of Polasara brought their younger brother Trilochan to the local hospital in a serious condition.

"After his condition deteriorated, they shifted him to MKCG Medical college and hospital at Burla, where Trilochan died. Instead of informing the police they took the body in a taxi to their village," officer-in-charge of Polosara police station told IANS.

"They also placed the body on a funeral pyre and when some villagers protested it, they were also assaulted by his brothers. However before the body was set on fire police reached there and sent the body for autopsy," he added.

Police suspect that Trilochan might have been killed over property dispute.

Police arrested the two brothers and the taxi driver and produced them before a local court which remanded them in judicial custody.
