Shimla : Caught without travel documents, a Frenchwoman here was sentenced to three months in jail by a Himachal Pradesh court.
Richard Mary was caught posing as a Hindu priestess at a temple in the Kangra valley a couple of months ago. She had only an expired passport in hand.
A court in Amb town of Kangra valley, 220 km from here, late Monday sentenced her to three months of imprisonment for staying illegally in India.
Mary has also been fined Rs.500, media reports said Tuesday.
