Bhubaneswar : At least 44 people of a marriage party were injured – 19 of them seriously – after a mini-bus in which they were travelling overturned Monday in Orissa, police said.
The bus driver appeared to have lost control and the vehicle overturned near Matiagarh village in Baripada district, 250 km from here, Jasowant Samal, inspector in charge of the Karanjia police station, told IANS.
While 19 people who sustained critical injuries were moved to the sub-divisional government hospital at Karanjia, the other injured were discharged from the local hospital after first aid, he said.
