Chittagong : After a third inspection Saturday afternoon the two umpires decided that the outfield was fit to resume the second day's play in the first India-Bangladesh first Test, but only 23 overs would be possible, visibility permitting.
Overnight and morning rains had left the Bir Shrestha Shahid Ruhul Amin Stadium outfield soggy, while the visibility was also low as dark clouds continued to cover the city skyline.
India will resume from 295 for three wickets scored Friday, with Sourav Ganguly batting on 82 and Sachin Tendulkar on 80. Thirteen overs were lost Friday due to rains and poor visibility.
The second and final Test will be played in Dhaka
