"There is no Al Qaeda base in Pakistan and reports about any CIA mission to trace Osama are speculative. Pakistan has been taking strong action against terrorists," Foreign Office spokesperson Tasnim Aslam said at a weekly press briefing.

"There is no report with us about the whereabouts of Osama bin Laden. No question of CIA agents looking for Osama in Pakistan," she said when asked about reports of 50 CIA agents operating in Pakistan to trace the Al Qaeda chief.

"There is no evidence or intelligence reports regarding the whereabouts of Osama bin Laden," the spokesperson said.

"If Al Qaeda is financed from Iraq then it is for the multilateral troops there to take action to stop it," she added.
