New Delhi : The stormy budget session of the Lok Sabha which ended May 17, five days ahead of its schedule, was Tuesday prorogued by the president marking the formal end of the 10th session effective retrospectively.
The session commenced Feb 23 and after a month-long break from March 23 resumed on April 26. It passed the union budget without a debate and the finance bill after discussing demands for grants of some ministries.
The house had 32 sittings spread over 119 hours of which 17 were held in the first part.
