This year 502,688 students from 4,789 schools took the Class 12 examinations in India and abroad – representing an increase of 9.59 percent over last year, CBSE Controller of Examinations M.C. Sharma said.

The exams were conducted at 2,276 centres, of which 33 were overseas.

The board has made arrangements to disseminate the results through the Internet, mobile phones, landline and an interactive voice response system, Sharma said.

"CBSE is hosting its results on the net with technical support from the National Informatics Centre (NIC). Schools can also get entire results by giving their school code and e-mail id."
