New Delhi : The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will declare at 8 a.m. Friday its Class 12 examination results which form the basic criteria for admission into the bulk of graduate courses in the country.
This year 502,688 students from 4,789 schools took the Class 12 examinations in India and abroad – representing an increase of 9.59 percent over last year, CBSE Controller of Examinations M.C. Sharma said.
The exams were conducted at 2,276 centres, of which 33 were overseas.
The board has made arrangements to disseminate the results through the Internet, mobile phones, landline and an interactive voice response system, Sharma said.
"CBSE is hosting its results on the net with technical support from the National Informatics Centre (NIC). Schools can also get entire results by giving their school code and e-mail id."
Mobile service providers will also deliver the results to individual candidates through SMS: MTNL (2001), Hutch (12310), Airtel (64601), Idea (456), Reliance (1234) and Tata Indicom (8282.
"I am sure, the students who had taken the exam would be extremely happy to know how they fared literally at the click of a button," said Reliance Communications president Mahesh Prasad.
