New Delhi : Residents of Delhi had a pleasant evening Saturday after a spell of light rain accompanied by dust storm brought down the temperature by over two degrees Celsius.
According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), several parts of south, central and east Delhi recorded nearly 1.6 mm rainfall bringing the mercury from 36.4 degrees Celsius to 34.2 degrees. Almost all parts of Delhi experienced squall in the evening.
"Due to low pressure areas over Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, Delhi witnessed a change of weather condition. It may rain Sunday as well," said an IMD official.
"The capital will experience partly cloudy sky and may witness a few spells of moderate rain coupled with hail and squall," he added.
On Saturday, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 38.4 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 26.8 degrees.
