New Delhi : Discarded cricketers Irfan Pathan and Mohammed Kaif and promising pace bowler Ranadeb Bose have been included in the list of 29 probables for upcoming tour to England and Ireland, it was announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) here Saturday.
Fourteen bowlers and 15 batsmen make the probables list and the BCCI will have separate camps for them. A fitness camp for the bowlers will be held at the Infosys Campus in Mysore from June 4-8 while the camp for the batsmen would be held at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore from June 9-12.
Talented leg-spinner Piyush Chawla and fast bowler Yo Mahesh have not been included because the duo will be leaving for training at the Australian Cricket Academy June 2.
Two teams will be selected for the one-day international (ODI) series in Ireland and the bilateral visit to England. The teams will be selected before June 10, the date by which India will have a new coach in place.
A four-day camp will also be held from June 13 at Bangalore, before the players depart for Ireland June 20.
India will play three ODIs against South Africa and one against Ireland in Belfast. The match against Ireland is slated for June 23 while the matches against South Africa are scheduled for June 26, 29 and July 1. Then they will move to England to play three Test and seven one-dayers starting July 19.
