Upadhyaya started singing at around 10 a.m. Sunday at the Achal Bhawan hall here and finished at around Monday noon, singing over 300 popular Kishore Kumar numbers.

An orchestra, including tabla, harmonium and guitar, supported him while hundreds of fans and well-wishers prayed for him.

He was encouraged throughout with rounds of applause as he rendered Bollywood classics like "Pyar Bante chalo" and "Raat kali".

"I am a huge fan of Kishore Kumar," he said after his singing achievement.

Upadhyaya is already a popular singer in Agra and has participated in various music festivals across India. He has sung for several music companies and has released eight albums of his own.
