"These are false reports and what proves their incredibility is that we have continued shelling the Israeli communities around the Gaza Strip," the group's spokesman Abu Obaida told reporters in Gaza.

The reports, published on several local websites, said that Hamas political administration has ordered the militants to stop firing rockets into Israel but members of the Hamas group ignored the order.

Abu Obaida stressed, "We still stick to our position that no truce with the Israeli occupation unless it stops aggression against the Palestinian people."

His remarks were made as an Israeli ministerial committee was set to meet to discuss the ongoing rocket attacks from Gaza despite the two-week-old Israeli military operations in the Palestinian territory.

At least 52 Palestinians have been killed in the recent Israeli aerial strikes against buildings and bases for Hamas, which holds the leadership of the Palestinian coalition government.
