Macau : India is assured of a place in the final of the kabaddi competition following two more emphatic wins at the second Asian Indoor Games here.
The Indians defeated Japan 39-13 and then trounced Pakistan 41-21 Thursday to maintain an all-win record after five matches.
India is the only unbeaten team in the competition and have one more game against Iran. Win or lose, India will contest the final as one of the top two teams.
India has 10 points from five games, while Pakistan have completed their six league games with 10 points. Iran lie third with eight points and the game against India to go.
India have the best difference in terms of points scored and point conceded and will still go through in the event of a tie on points.
India beat Bangladesh 36-12, Malaysia 65-22 and Sri Lanka 40-11 in their earlier three matches.
