Kolkata : Guess who checked in at the Team India conditioning camp here Saturday? None other than a monkey who thought it right to take the stock of the boys’ preparations against Pakistan.
Just as the team was about to wrap up things at the nets, the players spotted the monkey.
The ape bounced from the gallery on the eastern end of the Eden Gardens and went close to the nets and intently saw Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir batting. Then he checked out on the kit bags and gears.
The ground staff gave the monkey a hot chase. It jumped from the galley straight to the press enclosure and after a few moments of brooding and inspection of the milieu disappeared, much to the relief of all.
The Indian team completed its practice at the two-day camp Saturday.
