Pune(IANS) : Mohammad Iqbal, sentenced to death after being convicted in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case, died in Pune’s Sasoon Hospital Tuesday, police officials said.
Iqbal, 37, was suffering from tuberculosis. He had been kept at the Yerawada Jail here since his conviction six months ago.
Iqbal was admitted to the hospital Sunday after his condition deteriorated, the police said. He reportedly died at 7.15 a.m. Tuesday.
