Jammu: Justice Nisar Ahmad Kakru has been appointed as Acting Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir High Court, following elevation of Justice Aftab Alam as Supreme Court Judge.
Well informed sources told NAK that the state high court has received an order from the Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India said, here today, whereby Justice Kakru has been appointed as Acting CJ of the High Court.
As per the statement Justice Aftab Alam has been relinquished of the charge of the chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir High Court consequent upon his appointment as a judge of the Supreme Court of India.
