Islamabad(Xinhua) : At least four people were killed Friday in a blast outside a minister’s residence in northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar, according to local press reports.
The blast occurred near the house of Amir Muqam, who is the federal minister for political affairs and president of the northwestern provincial branch of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League (Q).
Muqam, who was unhurt in the blast, said his elder brother was one of the five injured in the blast.
A suicide bomber blew himself up after he was stopped by security personnel when he tried to enter Muqam’s house.
