Tehran Nov 11, (IANS) Iran and Malaysia have signed six agreements to further their cooperation in the fields of economy, science and technology.
The two countries signed the pacts at separate functions in the Iranian capital Saturday, said IRNA Sunday.
Malaysian Minister in Charge of Investment Dao Norovavi and Governor General of Razavi Khorasan province Mohammad Javad Mohammadizadeh signed a document for creation of an information technology town and information corridor in the eastern part of the country.
Officials of Iranian and Malaysian companies signed other documents in the presence of Iran’s Economic and Finance minister and the Malaysian minister.
Six meetings of joint economic cooperation have been held between the two countries so far.
Malaysia cooperates with Iran in the fields of earthquake engineering, housing, new technology in construction industry, information technology, and various economic projects in Razavi Khorasan province.
