New Delhi : India has offered to assist Bangladesh “in whatever way” to deal with the relief process after Cyclone Sidr caused havoc in that country Friday, killing over 2,000 people.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has written a letter to Bangladesh Chief Adviser Fakhruddin Ahmed, expressing great sadness at the loss of life and damage to property and offered condolences.
“In his message, the prime minister also said that India stands ready to assist in whatever way we can to help in the relief process,” the external affairs ministry spokesperson said Saturday.
