Shimla : A drunk man allegedly killed his wife following an argument in front of their three small children in a village in Himachal Pradesh, police said Wednesday.
Balwant Singh, 42, Tuesday reportedly had a heated argument with his wife Sunita and struck her three times on the neck with a sickle, killing her on the spot in Keri village in Kangra valley, about 300 km from here.
“The man was arrested soon after by the police along with the blood spattered sickle used to kill his wife,” said Gyaneshwar Singh, Kangra district police chief.
The man was working as a watchman in a nearby state-run government rest house and reportedly had many criminal cases against him.
