Mumbai : Unperturbed by Friday’s serial bomb blasts in different parts of the state, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati arrives in Mumbai Saturday afternoon on a two-day visit, Bahujan Samaj Party state chief Vilas Garud said here Friday.
The highlight of her trip is a massive rally at Shivaji Park Sunday where she will announce her party’s strategy for Maharashtra, Garud told IANS.
Nearly half a million people are expected to turn up for the rally from all over the state, Garud claimed.
Mayawati will stay at Taj Mahal Hotel, south Mumbai, where she will ‘induct’ several leaders from different political parties who will join BSP Saturday.
Among them are a former state minister, some former and sitting legislators from both the ruling coalition and the opposition parties, and many political activists and workers, Garud said.
On Sunday, Mayawati will hold discussions with her state party leaders on the BSP’s short-term and long-term agenda in the State.
