Malkangiri (Orissa) : In a joint raid, members of the Special Operation Group (SOG) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) recovered a huge quantity of explosives from south Orissa’s Maoist-infested Malkangiri district.
The explosives recovered Tuesday from a place near Motu, some 700 km from state capital Bhubaneswar, included two Claymore mines, two landmines, six detonators, one pressure mine, one pistol and some wires, a district police official told IANS.
The police suspect the explosives and arms were kept by the Maoists to trigger blasts in the region.
