Islamabad : Three Frontier Corps (FC) officials were killed in an ambush in Panjgor district of southwestern Pakistan’s Balochistan province, the Dawn News reported Wednesday.
Unknown assailants hurled a grenade before opening fire on an FC convoy, killing three officials and injuring two, the report quoted the police as saying.
The injured are in stable condition at a nearby hospital.
The Frontier Corps are a central paramilitary force manned mostly by people from the tribal areas and officered by officers from the Pakistan Army.
The police said they arrested eight suspected militants for the attack.
