New Delhi : The Supreme Court Friday refused to grant bail to Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) parliamentarian Pappu Yadav who had asked to be released from jail for treatment of his “morbid obesity”.
The bench headed by Chief Justice K.G. Balakrishnan refused to let him out on bail saying that he could undergo medical treatment for his obesity while staying in Tihar Jail.
He has been lodged in the jail for his alleged role in the murder of Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) activist Ajit Sarkar.
