Bangalore : The Karnataka cabinet Friday decided to call a special assembly session on Oct 18 to resolve the stalemate over transferring power from the Janata Dal-S (JD-S) to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The cabinet meeting was held in the absence of the 17 BJP ministers who have quit seeking immediate transfer of power to their party.
All the 17 BJP ministers had resigned Tuesday, the day H.D. Kumaraswamy’s 20-month tenure as chief minister ended.
