Bangalore : Karnataka Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy was set to meet Governor Rameshwar Thakur Thursday evening to apprise him of political developments amid a row over the proposed power transfer.
It would be his first meeting with the governor in the wake of Tuesday’s resignation by 17 ministers of the coalition partner, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
“The chief minister will apprise the governor of the development. Nothing more,” his spokesperson said amid speculation that the BJP ministers’ resignation letters could be forwarded to the governor for acceptance.
