British Voters for Early Elections

London, Oct 6 (Prensa Latina) Almost half of British voters are in favour of early general elections, and a possible call is under examination of prime minister Gordon Brown and his advisors.

According to a poll by ICM firm, published by The Guardian newspaper, 48 percent of interviewees considered that elections must be called for November, with 43 percent opposed to early elections scheduled for 2009.

Those in favour of early elections are the members of the opposition Conservative group with 67 percent of support while in the lines of the ruling Labour party (LP) only 35 percent back that possibility.

During the Conservative Congress, held last week, the leader David Cameron urged Brown to finish speculations and call for elections .
