Army chopper crashes in Pakistani Kashmir, 4 dead

Islamabad : Four soldiers were killed when an army helicopter crashed in Pakistani Kashmir Monday, army spokesman Waheed Arshad said.

The helicopter of the Army Aviation crashed because of technical problems when it was landing near the city of Muzaffarabad.

Earlier reports of the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) said the accident took place near Jhelum valley in Punjab province.

The helicopter was on security duty of a VIP, media reports said.

President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz are visiting nearby earthquake-hit areas and also North-West Frontier Province on the second anniversary of the devastating Oct 2005 earthquake.
