More Pakistani soldiers missing after latest clashes with militants

ISLAMABAD, Oct 8 (KUNA) — While efforts were still underway to secure release of nearly 300 already kidnapped soldiers, authorities Monday said that around 50 more paramilitary soldiers have gone missing after latest clashes started on Sunday with militants in the North Waziristan tribal agency along Afghan border.
We have reports about 50 troops are missing and they have been out of communication after fierce gunbattle with militants near Mir Ali village, said military spokesman, Waheed Arshad.
Reports reaching here from the tribal agency suggested that the soldiers have been taken as hostages by militants.
