BHEL Bhopal’s Jitendra awarded Vishwakarma Rashtriya Puraskar

Bhopal : Jitendra Singh, Artisan Grade-3 working in Switchgear Department of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, (BHEL), Bhopal unit was conferred “Vishwakarma Rastriya Puraskar (VRP)” for the year 2006 by Union Minister of State for Labour & Employment (Independent Charge ) in a function held the other day at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.

Vishwakarma Rashtriya Puraskar is awarded in recognition of outstanding suggestions given by a worker or group of workers and implemented by the Management during the previous calendar year resulting in improvement in quality,productivity and working conditions such as safety, health and environmental conservation in the Industrial undertakings where “Suggestion Schemes” are in operation.

This award was given to Singh for his contributions towards innovation / creativity, cost reduction hire Productivity,Safety and Quality of product. Two awards were bagged by BHEL, Tiruchi and Haridwar Units. Singh was awarded Rs 25000/- in cash and a citation.

Later on, BHEL CMD Ashok.K.Puri , Director (Personnel) Anil Sachdeva and Director (Finance), C.S.Verma felicitated Singh in BHEL Corporate Office.
