Raipur : India’s steel majors and leading power producers will be attending Chhattisgarh state’s seventh foundation day celebrations starting Nov 1 here.

The companies will set up stalls at Science College ground at state capital Raipur to showcase India’s industrial revolution in recent years at the weeklong festivities.

Tata Steel, India’s largest private sector steel producer, Bhilai Steel Plant, country’s number one public sector steel maker and flagship unit of Steel Authority of India Ltd, Essar Steel and Jindal Steel and Power Ltd will be among the 80 companies to put up stalls.

Besides steel majors, public sector power utility NTPC Ltd, India’s largest iron ore producer and exporter National Mineral Development Corp (NMDC), aluminium major Bharat Aluminium Co and dozens of other leading power sector majors have reserved space for stalls at the anniversary celebration site, said officials.
