“The team has been asked to submit its report in three months and is headed by local self government minister Paloly Mohammed Kutty. It consists of senior parliament members, legislators and eminent persons,” Achuthanandan told reporters here after the weekly cabinet meeting.

The report was tabled in parliament in November last year.

With Muslims constituting 24 percent of Kerala’s total population of 32 million, the state has the second largest number of Muslims of all the states in the country.
