JIH calls Ajmer blast an inhuman act, demand an alert system

Mumbai: A bomb blast in the Astana-e-Noor, Ajmer Sharif killed 2 and injured 17 today when people were opening their fast by taking iftar meal.

Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) termed the blast act a “cowardice and inhuman act” in a press release issued by its media cell. “Jamaat-e-Islami condemns it strongly and offers condolences to the family of the victims and demands the compensations for them”.

JIHI also stressed for the transparent and comprehensive investigations, in to the incident. Jamaat, also appealed the people to maintain peace and co-operate with the Administration to maintain Law and Order situation under control.

The statement released by Aslam Ghazai of Jamaat-e-Islami’s Maharasthra unit urges the politicians and especially the media not to have “any preconceived conclusion about the culprits as has been customary for the last several incidents.”

Jamat also demanded the government to draft a policy about the regular bomb blasts especially after the Ajmer incidents before which the Home Minister declared the possibility of the attack on the holy places in the country. It also suggests the government to declare appropriate alert for the people to be cautious besides informing the Agencies in this Festival season.

Also in Mumbai, poet Javed Akhtar demanded Hindu extremist organization to be investigated.
