Iran rejects rumours about Putin assassination plot

Tehran, (IANS) Iran has rejected recent media reports about a possible plot to assassinate Russian President Vladimir Putin during his visit to Tehran.

Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Mohammad-Ali Hosseini Sunday called the rumour “absolutely baseless” and said it was “in line with psychological efforts by those who are against good Iran-Russia relations”, Iranian news agency IRNA reported.
