Chennai : Union minister Mani Shankar Aiyar Wednesday suffered a heart attack and was rushed to the Apollo Hospital here where sources described his condition as stable.
Aiyar, the minister for panchayati raj, youth affairs and sports, complained of chest pain and was rushed to the hospital.
The minister’s condition is stabilising, said sources.
Aiyar, a Congress MP from Tamil Nadu’s Mayiladuturai constituency, was here to meet party leaders.
