India, Pakistan to hold talks on confidence building measures

NEW DELHI, Oct 17 (APP): Pakistan-India talks on conventional and nuclear confidence building measure (CBMs) will be held here during a two-day meeting on October 18 and 19.

Arrangements to deal with inadvertent border crossers, an agreement on prevention of incidents at sea would also come under discussion.

Conventional CBMs will come udder discussion on Thursday. The Pakistani side will be led by Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry, Director General South Asia in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs while the Indian delegation will be headed by T.C.A. Raghavan, Joint Secretary Ministry of External Affairs.

During the talks on nuclear CBMs talks on Friday, Khalid Aziz Babar, Additional Secretary (UN), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will lead the Pakistani side while the Indian delegation will be led by K.C. Singh, Additional Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs.

Talks within the framework of the bilateral anti-terror mechanism will be held in the Indian capital on October 22. The previous such meeting was held in April this year in Islamabad.
