New Delhi : A mild quake measuring 3.6 on the Richter Scale was felt in the national capital region at around 11.25 a.m. Thursday. There were no reports of casualties.
The epicentre of the quake was in Noida, on the outskirts of Delhi.
“We have not received any report of loss of life or property. Delhi and its surrounding areas fall in seismic Zone-IV and it is not uncommon to experience a light intensity tremor,” an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
