Pressmart inks deal with US newspaper association

Hyderabad : Hyderabad-based Pressmart Media Ltd has signed an agreement with the National Newspaper Association (NNA) of the US to provide a digital, same-as-print electronic edition of their monthly association newspaper Publishers’ Auxiliary.

Pressmart is a new media delivery partner for leading newspapers and magazines, delivering same-as-print content on multiple distribution channels, including the web (as a print-replica ePaper edition), mobile, RSS, podcasts, blogs, social networking sites, article directories, search engines and eArchives.

This is the second major customer deal Pressmart has signed after its recent deal with Suburban Newspapers of America, said a company statement here.

“The agreement with NNA testifies the interest and attention for Pressmart products in US community newspapers market that has shown remarkable growth since our foray in the US market,” said Sanjiv Gupta, CEO, Pressmart Media.

“We are confident these two major customers will help us further consolidate our position in the global electronic digitisation market.”

“The Pressmart solution will provide our 2,500 member community newspapers access to Publisher’s Auxiliary on multiple digital distribution channels,” said Brian Steffens, executive director, NNA.

Established in 1885, NNA is the national voice of community newspapers. It represents owners, publishers and editors of America’s community newspapers and with over 2,500 newspaper members, is currently the largest newspaper association in the US.
