New Delhi : Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Saturday greeted the nation on the occasion of the Hindu festivals of Dussehra and Durga Puja, saying it was a time “to foster goodness within and to radiate peace and harmony”.
In his message, Manmohan Singh said: “Vijayadashmi (Dussehra) is a festival across the length and breadth of the country, (which) signifies the triumph of good over evil. It is an occasion to foster goodness within and to radiate peace and harmony.”
He added: “May the festivals of Dussehra and Durga puja bring health, happiness and prosperity to all.”
Dussehra or Vijayadashami is being celebrated in the country on Sunday.
