Death toll in southwestern Pakistan blast rises to eight

Islamabad : At least eight people were killed and 27 others injured Saturday in a blast at Dera Bugti in Pakistan’s southwestern province of Balochistan, according to local TV reports.

Police sources were quoted as saying that the explosion took place at a bus terminal in the tribal town. They said that a remote-controlled device was used in the bombing.

A pro-government person was the target but survived the attack unhurt, according to the reports. Of the 27 injured, four are in critical condition.
