Yangon : The Myanmar authorities Saturday lifted the 60-day night-to-dawn curfew imposed on the country’s biggest city of Yangon before expiry, according to an announcement broadcast by loudspeakers on official vehicles patrolling around the city.
The curfew, which started on Sep 25 after violent pro-democracy protest led by monks, was to expire Nov 23.
It was lifted following the restoration of what authorities said “calm and normal situation in the city”.
