New Delhi : Delhi’s Deputy Mayor S.S. Bajwa died Sunday of grievous head injuries after a fall from the terrace of his east Delhi house following a reported attack by monkeys.
Bajwa, 52, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) councillor from Anand Vihar ward, was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Apollo Hospital Saturday with multiple injuries and internal bleeding.
He died early Sunday. He is survived by his wife and a son.
“Doctors at the Apollo hospital declared him dead early this morning. He will be cremated around 4.00 p.m. with full honours,” BJP Delhi president Harsh Vardhan told reporters.
