The office of Armenian President Robert Kocharian said the Iranian president left for home “due to unforeseen circumstances in Iran”, Russian news agency RIA Novosti reported.

“This will in no way affect the quality of Armenian-Iranian talks conducted at the high level or the implementation of agreements”, the news agency quoted president’s press secretary Viktor Sogomonyan as saying.

Iran’s Irna news agency, however, said President Ahmedinejad and his entourage left the Armenian capital Tuesday after completing the two-day visit, which saw signing of several agreements.

Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, senior presidential advisor Mojtaba Samareh Hashemi and a number of top officials had accompanied President Ahmadinejad on his visit.
