In view of sting operation of news magazine Tehelka which have BJP and VHP leaders confessing and implicating Mr. Narendra Modi for involvement in genocide that lead to thousands of Muslims killed in Gujarat in 2002.

“The individuals who have made these statements implicating Modi are well known senior leaders of their organizations,” read the statement issued by AIM. In 2002 the Indian media had identified some of these individuals as having taken active part in the Gujarat genocide but Tehelka’s videos are the “smoking gun” and “concrete proof” that reveals that the Chief Minister Narendra Modi connived with the marauders and supported them with the Gujarat state apparatus in the perpetration of the heinous genocide of innocent Muslims.

About 2,000 Muslim men, women and children were massacred in that genocide and about 100,000 Muslims were rendered homeless when their homes and places of business were burnt down by the well organized marauders.

AIM appealed to the Central Government to dismiss Mr Modi from the position of Chief Minister of Gujarat, and impose President’s rule in Gujarat. “We also appeal to the Government of India to institute court cases against the individuals named in the said video report from Tahelka,” read the statement issued today.

AIM also appealed to the fair and secular minded people of India to support their appeal.

Established in 1985, AIM is organization of Muslims from India who live in North America
