Atwal misses cut by two, crashes out of Miccosukee Championship

Miami : Arjun Atwal needing a birdie on the last hole to make the cut, went for a bogey and crashed out of the Miccosukee Championship, the final full-field event of the season on the Nationwide Tour.

Atwal, who shot 73 in the first round, carded 70 in the second and at one-over 143, he missed the cut by two.

Atwal is currently 57th on the Nationwide Money List and will need to wait till Sunday if he makes the top-60 to be find a berth in the Tour Championships next week.

Marc Turnesa was in sole possession of the lead even as none of the players who made the cut were able to finish their third round Saturday.

Turnesa finished up his second round with an 8-under 63, moving to a tournament record 12-under 130. He was four clear of Andrew Johnson, who had a 65 in second round, and had parred the only third round he played on Saturday.

Turnesa is seeking his first career Nationwide Tour win.
