Major bureaucratic reshuffle in Rajasthan

Jaipur : In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Rajasthan government transferred 45 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) officials.

Of the 19 IAS officials transferred late Monday evening, B L Arya has been made divisional commissioner of Jaipur in place of Madhukar Gupta, who has now been made the managing director of the Rajasthan Cooperative Dairy Federation.

Mukesh Sharma would now be the commissioner, commercial taxes, in place of Prem Singh Mehra, who has been shifted to the forest department as its principal secretary. The district collectors of Kota and Udaipur also have been changed. Abhey Kumar has been made the district collector of Kota.

Effecting 26 transfers of the IPS officers, the state government has made K S Bains the director general of the anti-corruption bureau in place of P K Tiwari, who has now been made the director general of jails. H C Meena has been given promotion and appointed the director general of home guards. Four superintendents of police also have been changed.

The new police superintendents are: Anand Shrivastava – Kota City, C B Sharma – Churu district, Girdhari Lal Sharma – Bharatpur district, and Ashok Kumar Vasisth – Sri Ganganagar district.
